The NV Prosecco Superiore is spicy, with hints of curry leaf and crushed rocks giving way to dried apricots and a sour twang of tangerine. This impresses further with a balance of rich textural bubbles, savory mineral tones and ripe orchard fruits. It leans more toward the tropical spectrum through the finale, yet remains remarkably fresh, as inner florals resonate on. This nicely balanced, unique and truly characterful Asolo Prosecco is going to win a lot of hearts. ... More details

Apple and nutty aromas with a surprising tinge of mild coffee. The same profile on the palate with a relaxed froth and persistent flavor. Drink now.
Wine Spectator
Lightly tangy and balanced, this easy-drinking Prosecco shows notes of ripe nectarine and peach fruit, with hints of chamomile and pastry cream. Drink now. 1,238 cases imported.
Winery
COLOUR: Very pale straw yellow and fine, persistent perlage. BOUQUET: Intensely fruity aroma with clear hints of ripe golden apple. Pleasant and elegant flowery sensation reminiscent of acacia flowers. FLAVOUR: Fresh, slightly sweetish and soft to the palate and flavoursome on the back of the tongue; an agreeably fruity and harmonious finish.

Varietal: Champagne Blend

The careful blending of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietal grapes has long been the secret to the success of the famous sparkling wines of the Champagne region. The wines of this region have gone down in history as the finest example of France's sparkling produce, and the methods of processing the grapes in this region have been imitated in almost every wine producing country in the world. There are actually seven different grape varietals allowed to be included in a Champagne sparkling wine, although grape varietals such as Pinot Blanc, Arbanne and Pinot Gris are used less and less commonly in its production. Whilst the Chardonnay varietal grapes offer their distinctive biscuit flavor and wonderful astringency, it is the Pinot Noir grapes (most commonly used for producing beautifully light red wines) which give the Champagne wines their length and backbone.

Region: Veneto

Veneto has, for hundreds of years, been one of Italy's most important wine regions, and many of the finest wineries and appellations near the Adriatic coast have reached levels of international fame and recognition unmatched by other parts of the country. Amarone, Valpolicella and Bardolino DOC regions are all widely understood to be amongst the best places in the world for flavorful, complex and interesting red wines, and the white Soave wines produced on the foothills of the Alps are enjoyed across the globe for their clarity and crispness. The region benefits from a range of micro-climates, protected from the harsh central European winters by the mountain range, and the generations of expertise and dedication to quality and innovation shown by the hundreds of wineries in the region.

Country: Italy

For several decades in the mid to late twentieth century, Italy's reputation for quality wines took a fairly serious blow. This was brought about partly due to lack of regulation in certain regions, and too much regulation in others. This led to several wineries in the beautiful and highly fertile region of Tuscany making the bold move to work outside of the law, which they saw as responsible for the drop in quality in Tuscan wines. They believed that they had the expertise and the generations of experience necessary with which to make truly excellent, world class wines, and set about doing just that. These 'Super Tuscans', as they came to be known, quickly inspired the rest of Italy to improve their produce, and now, Italian wine producers in the twenty-first century are widely recognised to be amongst the best in the world. Regulation and law began to change, and wine drinkers across the globe woke up to the outstanding wines coming out of Italy, which are continuing to improve and impress to this day.
