A bit reductive for now, hopefully to be addressed during élevage. Lifted, flinty fruit give a tight and upright style. Slightly bitter tannin on the finish, but there’s good energy here. Fresh, juicy, crunchy and drinkable. Also contains 10% Counoise. ... More details

70% Grenache and 30% Syrah from vines of an average age of 40 years, planted in chalky grit and sandy clay. The fruit is hand-harvested, with rigorous sorting; 100% de-stemmed. Fermented with natural yeasts, with a maceration of 20 days with punch-downs. Aged 1 year in a combination of tanks and barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration.
Jeb Dunnuck
Black raspberries, wild strawberries, flowers, and peppery, Provençal notes all shine in the 2021 Vacqueyras Les 2 Monardes, a medium-bodied, forward, undeniably delicious Vacqueyras offering supple tannins and a good finish. It's rock solid and well worth enjoying over the coming 4-6 years or thereabouts.

Region: Rhone Valley

In southern France, one of the primary wine regions responsible for the production of a fine and varied range of wines is the Rhone Valley. Split into two large sub-regions, this expansive valley benefits from micro-climates which allow the wineries to grow a vast array of fine grape varietals. The northern region is the more limited one in regards to the amount of varietals grown, focusing predominantly on raising excellent quality Syrah, Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier vines for their distinctive and elegant range of wines. The southern region, on the other hand, has a beautifully Mediterranean climate, and is home to dozens of grape varietals which are used to produce white, red and rosé wines, alongside some of the most famous and widely loved blended wines in the world.

Country: France

France is renowned across the globe for its quality wines and the careful expertise which goes into making them, but what is truly remarkable about this relatively small country is the vast range of wines it produces in such huge amounts each year. Not only are the finest red wines in the world said to come from the beautiful regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy, but elsewhere in the country we find the Champagne region, and areas such as the Rhone Valley and the Loire, whose white wines consistently receive awards and accolades by the plenty. This range is a result of the great variety of climatic conditions and terrain found in France, coupled with generations of wine makers working within single appellations. Their knowledge of specific terroirs and grape varieties has, over time, perfected the production of wines within their region, and the end results continue to impress the world to this day.
