The 2017 Pinot Noir Ygnacia Hyde Vineyard is ripe, vibrant and exotic. An explosion of sweet red cherry, plum, lavender, mint, rose petal and cinnamon bursts out of the glass in this exuberant Pinot. The 2017 is decidedly racy, and yet it is also so delicious and so irresistible, that readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off. The 2017 was done with just a touch of whole clusters (8%), but the stems are not especially noticeable.

Succulent griotte, steeped raspberry, incense, black tea and mineral notes weave together in this very focused version, ending with fine detail as nicely embedded and mouthwatering acidity holds the finish. Drink now through 2032. 374 cases made.

Notes of French plums pair with black cherry and cola. Fresh river stones intertwine with menthol and bergamot tea. A candy-like sensation of sweet marzipan and grandma’s strawberry candies entices the pallet developing into savory characteristics of white pepper and delicate rose petal notes. Smooth tannins bring structure but also a drinkability that draws you in for another sip.

Pinot Noir translates as 'black pine' in French, and is named as such due to the extremely inky color of the fruits, which hang in bunches the shape of a pine cone.
