Impeccably structured, this combines depth and grace with expressive raspberry, fresh violet and crushed stone accents that take on polish and richness on the lingering, savory finish. Perfumed and complex with mesmerizing aromas of nicely ripe strawberries with flowers, berries and spices. Medium to full body. Firm and fine tannins and a fresh, linear finish. The aftertaste shows subtle fruit, peat and spices. Drinkable now, but one for the cellar.

Ripe and sumptuous, a serious and aspirational nose. Inviting aromas of red forest fruits, herbs and a hint of spices. The palate is ripe, yet still fresh. Lovely hints of reduction and bacon fat. Silky texture, hint of savoury complexity and refreshing finish.

Varietal: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir translates as 'black pine' in French, and is named as such due to the extremely inky color of the fruits, which hang in bunches the shape of a pine cone. Wineries often struggle with Pinot Noir vines, as more than most red wine grape varietals, they fail in hot temperatures and are rather susceptible to various diseases which can be disastrous when hoping for a late harvest. Thanks to new technologies and methods for avoiding such problems, however, the Pinot Noir grape varietal has spread across the world to almost every major wine producing country. Why? Quite simply because this is considered to be one of the finest grape varietals one can cultivate, due to the fact that it can be used to produce a wide range of excellent wines full of interesting, fresh and fascinating flavors Their thin skins result in a fairly light-bodied wine, and the juices carry beautiful notes of summer fruits, currants and berries, and many, many more.

The beautiful state of Oregon has, over the past few decades, become increasingly well known and respected for its wine industry, with several small but significant wineries within the state receiving world wide attention for the quality of their produce. Whilst the first vineyards within Oregon were planted in the 1840s, the state's wine industry didn't really take off until the 1960s, when several wine producers from California discovered that the cooler regions of the state were ideal for cultivating various fine grape varietals. Today, Oregon has over four hundred and fifty wineries in operation, the vast majority of which are used for the production of wines made from Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir varietal grapes, both of which thrive in the valleys and mountainsides which characterise the landscape of the state.
