Approaching a glass and that the wine is able to stimulate all our senses, that is the objective of this wine, made in an open concrete lake with 80 years old, going back in time, remembering that aroma of fresh fruit and licorice when the grandfather took me to the cellars of the castle of San Vicente to have a snack with friends and I was barely old enough to hold in my hands a bottle of wine. That penetrating and indelible aroma is what modern oenology has forgotten and that we have tried to transmit in this young artisan wine, above all fresh and very fruity, pure fruit very expressive, very soft and elegant in the mouth with a slight sensation of carbonic. An intense cherry color indicates that we are facing the maximum expression of what is a 100% totally natural tempranillo, without any type of dressings or sophisticated elaborations, only harvested grapes, from 40-year-old vineyards planted in glass, discharged into a concrete lake of 1000 cantaras and fermented for 10 days, with its scrape and without crushing, Totally whole grape, with the aim of trying to do what our grandparents did, when there was no oenology, there was no technology and really the wines only tasted like wine ...

Varietal: Tempranillo

For millennia, the Tempranillo grape varietal has been esteemed and revered by winemakers in their native Spain. These grapes are packed full of intense and fascinating flavors, often rewarding wine drinkers with notes of tobacco, leather, plum and herbs alongside their spicy and full bodied character. Their thick, black skins result in their wines being very deep red in color, and often high in tannins. As such, Tempranillo grapes are usually blended with other fine varietals to produce exceptionally balanced and delicious blended wines, such as those found in La Riot and other important wine regions around the world. Despite them being a notoriously tricky varietal to grow, their popularity continues to increase, and winemakers continue to impress the world with this excellent example of a red wine grape.

Region: La Rioja

La Rioja is by far the most famous wine region of Spain, and remains one of the world's great wine producing regions, consistently offering deep, complex red wines of character and distinction, partly due to the fact that La Rioja benefits from excellent soils, rich in minerals and nutrients, and plenty of sunshine. The climatic conditions allow the fine grape varietals to reach full ripeness and express plenty of the best features of their terroir, making La Rioja wines some of the most interesting to have ever come out of Europe. The Cantabrian mountains to the north provide the perfect shelter from the colder, wetter influences of the Atlantic oceans, and in the beloved vineyards of La Rioja, wineries have been cultivating exceedingly flavorful Tempranillo grapes for generations for the inclusion in their fine single variety and blended wines.

Country: Spain

Ever since the Phoenicians and Romans brought their knowledge of vine cultivation to Spanish soils, the country's culture has grown alongside wine production, with wine being a vital part of Spanish identity and Spanish traditions. Each region of Spain has a wine quite distinct from the others, and it is produced by smallholders and families as much as it is by large companies and established wineries. From the relatively mild and lush regions of La Rioja to the arid plateaus that surround Madrid, grapes are grown in abundance for the now booming Spanish wine industry, and new laws and regulations have recently been put in place to keep the country's standards high. By combining traditional practices with modern technology, Spanish wineries are continuing to produce distinctive wines of great character, flavor and aroma, with the focus shifting in recent decades to quality over quantity.
