Pouring a jeweled ruby hue, the 2019 Nerello Mascalese Centennial Mountain Vineyard brings forward sun-kissed aromas of wild cherry, tarry earth, and crushed flowers. Juicy up front, this medium-bodied red offers a lot of immediate pleasure, although it certainly has notable balanced structure, with ripe tannins, refreshing acidity that lifts off the palate with ease, and a snap of orange-tinged citrus on the finish. The 2019 Nerello Mascalese Centennial Mountain Vineyard is racy and pliant right out of the gate. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice, blood orange, mint and a kiss of French oak are nicely pushed forward. Drink this effusive Nerello Mascalese over the next decade or so. This is an especially charming vintage for the Aeris Nerello Mascalese.

The 2019 Nerello Mascalese is a classic rendition of this grape. It shows fresh red fruit, with great spicy and floral aromatics. The palate continues these and coats your mouth with the dusty tannins Centennial Mountain has become known for. It is clear that Nerello Mascalese has tremendous potential in California.

Due to the volcanic soils of the region, fed by thermal springs packed full of minerals, the soil is wonderfully fertile and capable of supporting a wide variety of grape species.
