A graceful rosé Champagne, giving an overall impression of delicacy and finesse that belies the chiseled acidity, minerally underpinning and integrated flavors of raspberry and white peach fruit, toast point, slivered almond, candied pink grapefruit peel and pickled ginger. The NV Brut Rosé, which was first introduced in 2008, offers classic, slightly tertiary notes of spiced cherries, dried strawberries, and rose petals. Clean, crisp, and chiseled on the palate, it’s much more firm and tight than the Special Cuvée, yet has a great finish, impeccable balance, and bright acidity. A blend of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Meunier, with 30% vinified in barrel, it spent 30 to 36 months on lees. Give it a year or so.

A very similar blend to the Special Cuvée, this includes just 6% red wine from the Côte aux Enfants in Aÿ. Creamy, steely red fruit scents display a mineral character supported by subtle woody depth. This is tight and fresh in the mouth, displaying pure red fruits, its oak backbone betrayed by notes of black pepper and its full texture.

Disgorged in May 2021, the latest release of Bollinger's NV Brut Rosé is vert pretty, offering up aromas of pear, orange oil and plum, mingled with hints of fresh bread, dried white flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and elegantly vinous, it's attractively balanced, with fine depth at the core, lively acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse. This is deceptively giving and charming out of the gates, but I suspect it will put on more weight with additional age on cork.

Bright orange-pink. Fresh red berries and tangerine on the spice- and smoke-accented nose and in the mouth. Sappy and expansive, offering juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of toasty lees. Tightens up on the long, mineral-driven finish, which leaves a chalky mineral nuance behind.

This is a beautifully rich wine, with good aging as well as great red fruits. Acidity is layered with a warm dosage, balancing with the fresher aspect of this wine. Drink now.

Bronze tones combined with the intense depth of a great red wine. On the nose, red berries: hints of red currant, cherry and wild strawberry. A spicy touch. On the palate, flavors of wild berries and a subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with a tannic sensation from the red wine addition. Bubbles as fine as velvet.
