This is one of three properties in Margaux owned by Claire and Gonzague Lurton. The wine's structure and powerful tannins contrast with the black currant fruits and acidity. A touch of mint from wood aging adds a polished feel. Drink from 2026. Organic and biodynamic.

Crushed blueberries, blackberries, mulberries, stones, pressed flowers and dried spices on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with firm, powdery tannins. Textured and refined with a fresh, mineral finish. 40% in concrete tanks/eggs and 60% in barrels. 54% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot and 6% petit verdot. This is a classic, restrained style of Margaux, with a fresh floral edge, and a gentle raspberry and redcurrant feel to the fruit, given welcome depth on the finish by spiced rosemary and pepper. Slightly higher sand in the soil at this location in Soussans, which means it lacks a little of the concentration you find in the excellent sibling estate Ferrrière, but this shows an enticing slice of early-drinking Margaux. A yield of 32hl/ha. Drinking Window 2024 - 2034.
Winery
This vintage is full of subtleties, wrested from nature by precision and rigor in the work. They are moderately strong but soft and elegant. The cabernet sauvignon are the backbone of the blend.

The Bordeaux region of France consistently enjoys the reputation of being the finest region for wine making in the world. But what is it that makes this area around the Gironde river so special? The secret lies in their ancient and careful blend of no more than six high quality, flavorful and unique grape varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Carménere are all permitted for usage in the production of Bordeaux wines, and the winery carefully considers how to balance the fine points of one varietal against another. Most commonly, Cabernet Sauvignon is used as the main grape varietal, usually with vintners making wines containing upwards of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon grape juices.
