With green-fruit and lemon flavors, this wine is initially all about freshness. The structure slowly reveals itself, with attractive minerality and saline tanginess. Drink the wine from 2022.

Beautiful honeyed lemon, white peach, white flowers, and chalky minerality emerge from the 2018 Clementin De Pape Clement Blanc. and it's medium-bodied, with a pure, balanced, elegant texture and terrific length on the finish. It's not a blockbuster, but it offers terrific complexity and loads of up-front charm and class. It's ideal for drinking over the coming 2-3 years.

The 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clement Blanc comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery notes of fresh pineapple, orange blossoms and Bosc pears, with hints of beeswax and yuzu. The medium-bodied palate has bags of vibrant tropical and citrus fruit flavors with a racy backbone and minerally finish.

Rated 90 by Vinous Media
The 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clément Blanc is an attractive, understated dry white. Orange peel, apricot, passionfruit and wild flowers all open in the glass. The Clémentin is a bit light, as it was in barrel, but has just enough creaminess and texture to bring all the elements together.

Varietal: White Bordeaux

The blended white wines of the Bordeaux region of France are famed worldwide for their complexity of flavor and superbly balanced characteristics. They are most commonly made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle grapes, although French law dictates that Sauvignon Gris, Merlot Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Ondenc and Mauzac can all also be used in the production of these excellent wines. For centuries, the wineries of this region have been working and perfecting the skills necessarily to get the most flavor and positive characteristics of these grapes, and other wine producing countries in the world will no doubt continue to emulate these world leaders when it comes to selecting and blending said grape varietals.

Region: Bordeaux

There are few wine regions in the world with a reputation as glowing and well established as that of the Bordeaux, in France. Situated mainly around the Dordogne and Gironde rivers, Bordeaux makes the most of its humid climate and rich, clay and gravel based soils to grow some of the finest examples of red and white grape varietals on earth. Wineries in this region have been in operation for hundreds of years, and have carefully developed the expertise required for the production of carefully balanced and utterly delicious blended red and white wines, alongside some exceptional single variety bottles. Many of the chateaux found in Bordeaux have become household names, due to their prestige and the excellence of their products, grown with love and dedication by heritage wineries in this beautiful and special region.
