The 2015 Orma is fabulous. Pliant and resonant in the glass, the 2015 is a total pleasure bomb. Mocha, espresso, raspberry jam, rose petal, mint and cedar all race out of the glass in this stunningly beautiful, gracious wine from Orma. All the elements simply fall into place effortlessly. A closing flourish of aromatic intensity punctuates the finish.

The 2015 Orma is absolutely rich in intensity and thick in extract. The sunny 2015 vintage is all about exuberance and gosh you do get that here. This is a viscerally exciting wine with a large load of dark fruit, blackberry and crème de cassis. Those fruity tones segue to spice, leather, tobacco and barbecue smoke. Roasted espresso bean and dusty chocolate appear on the full-bodied finish. This is a complete, rich and nicely extracted red wine from the Tuscan Coast. The blend is 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc.
Winery
The perfect blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, varieties that have found their ideal environment here.

Region: Tuscany

Tuscany is probably Italy's most important and widely respected wine region, with a history which stretches back almost three thousand years, and a set of fine grape varietals which produce some of the most delicious quality white and red wines in the world. Sangiovese and Vernaccia varietal grapes are grown all over this expansive region, and the way they are handled, aged and processed varies from town to town. The beautiful hot climate of Tuscany helps these grapes reach full ripeness, despite the fact the soil of the region is generally problematic for the vintners who work there. Despite this, there is a dedication to quality and flavor in Tuscany which is more or less unmatched anywhere else in Italy, and a great mix of strong tradition and willingness to experiment and think outside the box which has been a wonderful recipe for success in the region.

Country: Italy

There are few countries in the world with a viticultural history as long or as illustrious as that claimed by Italy. Grapes were first being grown and cultivated on Italian soil several thousand years ago by the Greeks and the Pheonicians, who named Italy 'Oenotria' – the land of wines – so impressed were they with the climate and the suitability of the soil for wine production. Of course, it was the rise of the Roman Empire which had the most lasting influence on wine production in Italy, and their influence can still be felt today, as much of the riches of the empire came about through their enthusiasm for producing wines and exporting it to neighbouring countries. Since those times, a vast amount of Italian land has remained primarily for vine cultivation, and thousands of wineries can be found throughout the entire length and breadth of this beautiful country, drenched in Mediterranean sunshine and benefiting from the excellent fertile soils found there. Italy remains very much a 'land of wines', and one could not imagine this country, its landscape and culture, without it.
