Made from the producer's estate Monument Ridge, blocks that rise from 400 to 2,400 feet, this balanced, elegant wine is refined and savory, with classic structure. Crushed rock, mountain sage, pine and dusty tannin support a core of juicy currant and cassis.

A blend of various vineyard sites, ranging from 122 to 732 meters in altitude. Raspberry and blueberry meet tart red berries and creme de cassis on the nose and palate. It’s a rather floral Cabernet, with rose petals and violets, which gets counterbalanced with dried herbs, graphite, and mineral notes. Tannins read as sweet and voluptuous but acidity itself throughout.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is perfumed with sweet crushed flowers, candied blackberry, and soft baking spice. The palate is juicy up front and gives way to more savory fine-grained tannins and a supple mouthfeel, with notes of black tea and wild herbs. Drink 2025-2042.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is bold, punchy and full of mountain character. There is some tannin that needs to resolve, but that should not be a problem in a few years' time. Blue/purplish fruit, graphite, lavender, spice and licorice are nicely pushed forward in this structured, mid-weight mountain Cabernet.

As a blend of our best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard sites, the Estate bottling is one of the most compelling illustrations of the Stonestreet Mountain. We blend this wine with discerning precision, balancing aromatic intrigue, texture and the Mayacamas’ signature structural elements into a pure reflection of the vintage. The 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of red plum, dried violet, and a hint of long pepper. The wine shines on the palate with savory flavors of tobacco, dried blueberries and fruit leather. The mouthfeel is soft with bold but soft tannins, integrated oak and a supple finish. Cellared to perfection!
