Showing bright topaz in the glass, this Cognac entices with rich, concentrated caramel and toffee aromas. Fleetingly sweet on the palate, vanilla, mocha and hazelnut lead into a rounded brown-sugar finish punctuated by clove and orange peel. This easy sipper would be welcome at any dessert table. Made with a blend of Cognacs aged 11–25 years.

Dark amber color. Aromas and flavors of old french library, grilled pineapple, nuts, stewed fruits, and flakey butter pastries, and sweet orange turkish tobacco with a chewy, bright, dry medium-to-full body and a warming, elegant, long finish that shows notes of sauteed mushroom with a red fruit compote, forest floor, and figgy toffee pudding. Rich dark red fruits and nuts with that pleasantly funky umami that only comes with age.
Winery
XO pays homage to the Cognac region with carefully selected eaux-de-vie. The signature style of rich fruit notes reveals an exquisitely layered blend with an elegant floral finish. BEGINNING: The delicate yet rich fruit notes of fig, raisin, plum, and candied orange reveal an exquisitely layered and matured blend. MIDDLE: An autumn bouquet with distinct notes of Iris. END: The eaux-de-vie are matured in proprietary barrels using complex aging techniques, for notes of crème brûlée and a long finish.

Country: France

Year in, year out, France enjoys its prestigious reputation as the producer of the finest wines in the world. With a wine making history which spans several thousand years and owes its expertise to the Romans, it comes as little surprise that this most highly esteemed of the Old World wine countries continues to impress and enchant both novices and experts to this day. Despite the rise in quality of wines from neighboring European countries, not to mention the New World, the French wine industry continues to boom, with up to eight billion bottles being produced in recent years. However, France prides itself on always putting quality before quantity, and the wide range in fine produce is a testament to the dedication and knowledge of the wineries across the country. Indeed, from rich and complex reds to light and aromatic white wines, French wines are as varied and interesting as they are enjoyable to drink, making this country a firm favorite for wine lovers across the globe.
