Before seeing the light of day, our Tresor Brut Reserva remains on its lees between 24 and 30 months. This long ageing period enhances its complexity and underscores the subtlety of its tertiary aromas without detracting from the fruity fragrances. In Tresor, you will detect aromas of ripe white fruit, dried nuts and a light dash of acacia honey which, on the palate, takes on the taste of freshly baked pastries. Tresor is a firm, full brut cava with nicely balanced acidity. It therefore makes a wonderful aperitif, is superb with spicy dishes and is an excellent accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine.

Varietal: Champagne Blend

There are few areas in the world with a reputation quite as famous and respected as that of Champagne in France, and almost every wine region on earth has imitated or has been influenced by the careful process mastered by the wineries of Champagne. However, it is in the grape varietals which thrive in this region where the secrets to the Champagne's success can be found – the acidic, flavorful Chardonnay grapes meeting the characterful Pinot Noir varietal, and coming together to produce something wonderful in the bottle. There are actually seven varietals allowed by French wine law for the production of Champagne wines, all of which are used by wineries to accentuate each others finest points and maintain the reputation of this very special region, the home to some extremely high quality grapes.

Region: Cataluna

The beautiful Spanish wine region of Catalunya has a history of viticulture which stretches back for over a thousand years, and has been influenced by a wide range of people who moved through the region, and brought their wine making skills and expertise with them. The region itself is a sizeable one, covering an area of sixty thousand hectares, and within this space there resides over two hundred individual wineries, ranging from small, independent and traditional ones to the larger, mass production bodegas known around the world. The terroir of Catalunya is varied, and ranges from being dry and arid, to more lush and green in the wetter parts of the region which are closer to the coast. This variation in terroir results in a fantastic range of grape varietals being grown, and a wide range of wine styles are produced within Catalunya.
