Very pure and fragrant, with attractive aromas of bread and fresh hazelnuts, cashew nuts, light lemons and grapefruit. The palate has a scintillatingly pure, grapefruit and dry-lemon core, and a chalky, fresh-pear and lime finish. Superb freshness!

The sparkling wines of Champagne have been revered by wine drinkers for hundreds of years, and even today they maintain their reputation for excellence of flavor and character, and are consistently associated with quality, decadence, and a cause for celebration. Their unique characteristics are partly due to the careful blending of a small number of selected grape varietals, most commonly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These grapes, blended in fairly equal quantities, give the wines of Champagne their wonderful flavors and aromas, with the Pinot Noir offering length and backbone, and the Chardonnay varietal giving its acidity and dry, biscuity nature. It isn't unusual to sometimes see Champagne labeled as 'blanc de blanc', meaning it is made using only Chardonnay varietal grapes, or 'blanc de noir', which is made solely with Pinot Noir.

The beautiful rolling hillsides of the Champagne region of France have, for hundreds of years, been producing many of the world's most famous wines. The sparkling white wines to come out of Champagne's prestigious wineries have conquered the world, and are drank in celebration across the globe. The vast majority of the region is under vine, and grows predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varietals, which are usually blended together by master wine-makers in order to make their recognizable and widely loved produce. The north-easterly region of Champagne has a relatively cool climate, and quite a lot of rainfall, making it far from ideal for ripening grapes. However, the presence of heavily forested areas in the region helps maintain a balanced temperature, and the generations of expertise the wineries hold clearly produces excellent results in spite of the climatic problems.

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Grand Cru is unusual in that it is a blend of three vintages (2021, 2020 and 2019) instead of the more typical two, because of very low yields in 2021. There's real density and power here, but not at the expense of Côtes des Blancs citrus, floral and mineral character. As always, the Terroirs is a blend of parcels in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, all Grand Crus. The blend is 20% 2021 and 80% split between 2020 and 2019. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: March 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

Sourced from specific grand cru plots of older vines in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, this blend of two vintages displays a zesty lemon aroma, followed by a palate full of fresh apple and tangerine flavours with creamy wood touches. At 5g/l of residual sugar, this nudges into the Extra-Brut category, and it must be one of the very best examples of the style. It works particularly well as a blanc de blancs, and its dry, steely, mineral, moreish character imparts great balance to the ripe fruit profile.

Based on the 2022 vintage, vinified in tank, but with a preponderance of reserve wines from 2021 and 2020—also vinified in tank but matured in demi-muids—Agrapart’s new NV Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs reveals an aromatic profile of orange oil, pear, nectarine and freshly baked bread. The medium- to full-bodied palate is charming and pillowy, endowed with a generous core of fruit and underpinned by ripe yet vibrant acidity. It is an expressive and demonstrative rendition that will drink well out of the gate. It was disgorged in October 2025 with a dosage of three grams per liter.
