The 2025 Muros Antigos Escolha is 40% Loureiro, 40% Avesso and 20% Alvarinho, a blend they like because the grapes complement each other. “Alvarinho provides structure and body, Loureiro aromatic intensity and Avesso vibrant acidity and minerality,” they said. The juice from the pressing of the destemmed grapes fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeasts and was kept with the fine lees in stainless steel for three months. It’s pale and young, still a little shy and faintly reductive. It has a soft and tender palate, 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.03 and 6.6 grams of acidity and is light and with notable acidity. 150,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2026.
