Doyard’s 2019 Grand Cru Millésime Œil de Perdrix is showing even better than it did on release, unfurling from the glass with aromas of orange peel, peach, sweet berries and timut pepper mingled with freshly baked bread, followed by a full-bodied, concentrated and enveloping palate that is built around a generous core of fruit and underpinned by succulent yet vibrant acids, concluding with a gently phenolic grip on the finish.
