Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. A heady and seductive nose full of fragrant and ripe black fruit, floral scents and subtle spiced touches. Concentrated but agile in the mouth, this has richness and power for sure but they're matched by bright acidity and cool fresh blue fruit elements as well as a enticing salinity. Smooth, succulent, a gorgeous mouthwatering mid palate, tannins are exceptional, round and filling but supportive and comforting. On the richer side, you can feel the sun-kissed fruit and the oak still in the licks of smoke, tobacco, clove and liquorice spice, but this is super charming in a dark way. Give this a good air if drinking soon or buy and hold on to it for a few years.

The 2020 Branas Grand Poujeaux was bottled in May 2022 and has a deep garnet-purple color. The nose is a little closed to begin, then soars with notions of ripe, juicy plums, blackberry preserves, and chocolate-covered cherries, plus touches of lavender, menthol, cinnamon toast, and sandalwood. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and totally seductive, the palate features firm, yet ripe, rounded tannins with lovely tension, finishing with great length and depth.

The palate is medium-bodied with finely-delineated tannins, lightly spiced with ample depth and grip. Lovely black fruit here and impressive tension on the finish. Bon vin.

Coming from a tiny vineyard in Moulis, the 2020 Château Branas Grand Poujeaux sports a medium-bodied, beautifully concentrated, balanced style offering classic red and black fruits, notes of cedar pencil, tobacco, and leather, ripe tannins, and a great finish. I suspect this will be a smoking value, and the quality here is truly something. I like it today yet see no reason it won't evolve for a solid decade.
