Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Full and fleshy, this is round and mouth filling with juicy, chewy fruit that has bitter toasted edges of cinnamon, dark chocolate, espresso and cedar. On the ripe fruit side, with flashes of heat, but the texture is lovely, sleek and direct with structured, integrated chalky tannins and a fresh mentholated and eucalyptus finish. Needs to soften a little more, but this is a classic take on the vintage with appealing typicity. Round, filling, charming in a dark, sultry way. From a 70-hectare vineyard on gravel. This is a blend of 52% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Ageing 12 months in oak, 33% new and 67% second and third-fill barrels.

2018 Poujeaux. This wine is almost ink dark and has a wonderful sweet and crunchy cabernet-like nose. The taste is deep and soft, filled with blackberries and cassis. The viscosity of the wine is very special, and you feel the pricky almost glycerin like juice when tasting it. This vintage of Poujeaux is one of the most interesting I have encountered and it should develop nicely. You can approach it now and it should be a great wine to consume during the next 20+ years.

Just as it was from barrel, the 2018 Poujeaux is superb. Succulent red cherry, spice, cedar, tobacco and leather give the 2018 striking textural richness to match is bold, racy personality. Silky tannins make the 2018 very easy to taste now, but this is a wine with the potential to age beautifully for many years. Impressive.

There are lots of impressive Moulis in this vintage and the 2018 Château Poujeaux is one of them. This medium to full-bodied, soft, nicely textured, mouth-filling beauty has lots of blackberry and black cherry fruit, notes of tobacco and damp earth, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's certainly an outstanding wine and has another decade of prime drinking or more ahead of it. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, aged in one-third new French oak.
