Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. 92-94 Always one of my favorite wines from the Garcin family, the 2021 Clos L'Eglise is beautiful stuff that brings ample richness and depth as well as plenty of classic Pomerol sexiness. Lots of ripe berry fruits, chocolate, chalky minerality and tobacco notes define the bouquet at this young stage, and it's medium-bodied, with a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It doesn't have the mid-palate density or opulence of the 2020 (or 2018), but it's a remarkable, elegant, beautiful Pomerol that will have two decades of longevity.

91-93 The fleshiest, most dramatic wine in the Garçin-Léveque portfolio is the 2021 Clos l'Eglise, a medium to full-bodied, broad and velvety Pomerol that evokes notions of sweet cherries, berries, plums, raw cocoa and petals. Layered and seamless, it's derived from a 5.98-hectare vineyard opposite Eglise-Clinet that's planted with 80% Merlot, the balance Cabernet Franc.

92-93 The 2021 Clos l'Eglise is a dense, powerful Pomerol. There's real energy driving the red/purplish fruit, lavender and spice. Far from an easygoing Pomerol, Clos l'Eglise is going to need time to be at its best, but there's no rush. The 2021 is a bit compact, and yet all the elements are there for it to develop into a very fine, compelling wine.

Rich and concentrated nose, really dark and seductive, smells ripe and jammy. Beautiful florality on the nose too, smells beguiling. This has real clarity to the palate, succulent - a lovely soft mouthwatering acidity, really in balance with a stoney minerality coming through straight away. There is a touch of austerity still, spiced and spiky edges giving a piquance on the tongue. Supreme freshness though, the mintiness comes through on the finish, lifted and long. An iodine, salinity comes through as well, pure graphite - absolutely nothing is hiding here and I love it. Consultants Tomas Duclos, Valerie Lavigne and Axel marshal. 100% Merlot for the first year ever, usually has between 4-8% Cabernet Franc.
