Gamay, a red grape varietal primarily associated with Beaujolais in France, is celebrated for its vibrant and approachable character. What makes Gamay unique is its immediate charm and versatility, offering wines that are light-bodied yet bursting with flavor. Known for its low tannins and high acidity, Gamay wines are exceptionally food-friendly and often enjoyed slightly chilled. The grape expresses red fruit flavors such as cherry, raspberry, and sometimes a subtle hint of banana. The region is home to ten crus, including Morgon and Fleurie, each expressing different terroirs and stylistic nuances. Wine Enthusiast

This wine is dripping with finesse. Intoxicating aromas of red raspberry, muddled strawberry, and boysenberry open on the nose buttressed by pomegranate and dried violet blossom. Pillowy tannins recede into plush, mature red fruit that flirts with chalk on the finish. You can drink now, but this wine will continue to develop in bottle through 2031.
