Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2017 Pommard Les Grands Epenots ler Cru, which contains one-third whole cluster fruit, has a lovely earthy bouquet with scents of tobacco and sous-bois filtering through the black fruit. Fine delineation here.
The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a finely balanced and quite svelte Pommard with beautifully integrated oak towards the persistent finish. Recommended.

This has a bold fruit presence from the rich clay soils, delivering red and dark cherries with a very plush and fresh thread of long, succulent cherries on the palate. Long with fresh acidity, too. Drink or hold.

This is also relatively aromatically elegant even with a distinctly earthy component on the red and dark pinot fruit, violet and soft spice wisps. The exceptionally rich and mouth coating flavors possess good energy while delivering fine length on the very firm and borderline rustic finish. This is very Pommard-like and will definitely require extended patience if you wish to see it at its peak.

Decanter
This wasn't produced in 2016 because of frost damage, so it's good to see it back in the de Montille lineup in 2017. Made with younger vines on clay soils close to the wall of the Clos des Épeneaux, it's charming, floral and comparatively forward, with 50% whole bunches adding some texture and clove spice notes.
Winery Notes
From the 2017 vintage onward, all production of Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet has been transferred and marketed under Domaine de Montille name.
