Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

One of my favourite Pommards of the vintage, this is a focussed, mineral, chalky premier cru red that wouldn’t look out of place in the upper slopes of Volnay. Crunchy, refined and beautifully balanced, it gains added complexity from one-third whole clusters and 30% new wood.

The beautifully and unforgettable French region of Cote De Beaune has been revered throughout the centuries, and recognized as one of the key producer's of the world's finest white wines. The region is highly respected as an excellent producer of Chardonnay wines, and the Chardonnay grapes which grow there, on the southern slopes of the Cote d'Or, are packed full of the unique and powerful characteristics of this very special terroir. Interestingly, Cote De Beaune produces more red wine than white wine, despite its white wines being so famous. The red wines of Cote De Beaune are mainly made from Pinot Noir, but are relatively very light and fruity in their character, perfect for sipping on a warm, sunny day alongside a wide range of foods.

The 2017 Pommard Les Pezerolles ler Cru matures with one-third whole clusters and the same new oak. It has a pretty, floral bouquet that opens with red cherries and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very linear and taut but gaining weight towards the finely tuned, mineral-driven finish. Excellent.

Super-fresh and distinctly cool aromas are comprised by airy notes of herbal tea, violet, lavender and dark pinot fruit. The racy, intense and beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors exhibit ample minerality on the delicate and refined finish that delivers excellent length. Lovely stuff.

Bursting from the glass with aromas of strawberries, raspberries and red plums that are framed by a subtle touch of oak, de Montille's 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles is also open and expressive, with an ample core of fruit framed by supple tannins and juicy acids. This isn't quite as deep or concentrated as the Volnay Taillepieds, but it's similarly charming.
Winery Notes
From the 2017 vintage onward, all production of Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet has been transferred and marketed under Domaine de Montille name.
