A more subtle though not invisible dollop of oak surrounds the restrained and fresh aromas of ripe apple, pear, citrus and plenty of spice wisps. The cool, sleek and delineated middle weight flavors are finer if less powerful and certainly more mineral-driven on the equally clean, dry and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is also very promising and a wine that should easily repay a decade of cellaring, perhaps even a bit more. Lovely.
