The super affordable 2024 Monte Velho Branco, from a cooler year, is their iconic everyday wine that was launched in 1991. In 2020, they sold 7.5 million bottles of this brand in 50 countries around the world. It was produced with a blend of local varieties—Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro and Gouveio—from granite, schist and clay soils that were harvested with a machine, pressed in vacuum and fermented at low temperature for 15 days. It comes in at 13% alcohol, with a pH of 3.35 and 2.1 grams of residual sugar. It’s pale, clean, expressive and nuanced, with notes of citrus and herbs, and it’s light- to medium-bodied and very easy to drink, with an herbal twist in the finish. 1.5 million bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2025.
