Made from 100% Merlot, the 2019 Lynsolence is a deep garnet-purple color. It rocks up with expressive scents of stewed plums, black cherry compote, licorice, and fruitcake with hints of cloves, cedar, and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied palate has a firm, grainy texture (boosted by the oak tannins) with muscular black and blue fruit and a spicy lift on the long finish. Approachable now, it would be better to give it a good couple of years in the cellar for the oak to integrate and drink it over the next 18 years+.
