Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The Rhone Valley of southern France is a particularly fascinating wine region, with a history that stretches back to at least six hundred BCE, when the ancient Greeks first began cultivating vines there. The region itself is split into two distinct sub-regions, with the northern sub-region being famed for its production of exceptional Syrah, Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier wines, packed full of interesting character and expressing the terroir found there. The southern sub-region is home to an enormous variety of grapes, and produces red, white and rosé wines, and some of the world's most famous and adored blended wines. A fresh, aerial, violet-scented style, though it’s introverted for now. It has exceptionally fine tannins – very similar to La Viallière in style. It’s well balanced, the acidity is high and the tannins are quite generous. A mineral style. Lieu-dit Neve, south of La Viallière, rocky mica schist soils.

One of top wines in the vintage, the 2021 Côte Rôtie Nève comes from a single lieu-dit in the northern part of the appellation and was 85% destemmed and brought up in 30% new barrels. Gorgeous redcurrant and black raspberry-like fruit, spring flowers, and lots of minerality define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with ripe, firm yet polished tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish. Give it a few years and it should keep for 15 years or so.
