A medium bright red color, the 2024 Pinot Noir Summa Vineyard Old Vines is always a favorite for me, and it does not disappoint in this vintage. High-toned but layered, it packs in more depth and intensity than the Summa, with redcurrants, wild raspberries, and bright spice. Medium-bodied, it has totally charming, weightless, fine tannins and great, floating length. Floral and pretty, it expands on the palate with more salty depth as it opens. It’s not the loudest wine in the range but has so much to offer. Drink over the coming 20 years. Drink 2026-2046.

The 2024 Pinot Noir Summa Old Vines is a gorgeous, ethereal wine—a sort of West Sonoma Coast Musigny, for lack of a better term. Bright red-toned fruit, pomegranate, cedar, mint, blood orange and exotic spice notes abound. The Old Vines is lighter in body than the regular Summa bottling, but a bit fresher with a more pronounced acid profile.
