A cornucopia of red-berry aromas pours from the glass of this effusive and delightful rosé and the balance of fruit, crisp acidity and a touch of creaminess from yeast contact makes this an easy sparkling wine to enjoy. So much fruit at the finish, it’s hard to resist! Drink now.

A smoky and impactful mix of wild strawberries, crushed almond and nuances of gingery spice waft up from the NV Brut Rosé. It’s round in feel with stimulating acidity, a pretty inner sweetness and depths of contrasting minerality. This leaves the palate completely refreshed and begging for another sip as hints of sour melon fade. Nicely done. This is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, created using Metodo Classico.

This is another classic sparkling wine happily enjoyed in households and at restaurants (before COVID-19) across Italy. The Lunelli family has created an accessible and cheerful wine for the best of times (that we can't wait to get back to). The Ferrari NV Trento Metodo Classico Rosé Brut shows a bright raspberry pink color with faint copper highlights. Wild cherry, peach and cassis characterize the bouquet and cede to light touches of toasted almond and baked bread. To the palate, this sparkler shows a lean, steely approach that is terrific for any festive occasion.
Wine Spectator
Delicate herb and spice notes lace the peach and raspberry fruit in this fresh version, with a creamy, lively bead. Offers a subtle, stone-tinged finish. Drink now. 40,000 cases made, 2,198 cases imported.
Winery
Salmon pink in color. Distinct and very refined on the nose, with the fresh fragrance of hawthorne flowers, red currants, and wild strawberries. Dry, clean, and elegant palate, with a delicate finish of sweet almonds. A sparkling wine of pronounced finesse. Perfectly served as an aperitif or with lighter dishes, especially seafood.

Varietal: Champagne Blend

There are few wine regions of the world with as much influence or fame as that of Champagne in France. The sparkling wines from this special area have long been associated with excellence and magnificent flavors, and much of their success has been down to the careful blending of fine grape varietals in order to achieve spectacular results. Most commonly, Champagne wines use both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietal grapes in more or less equal measures, often boosted by a small quantity of Pinot Meunier for extra bite. The Chardonnay varietal grapes offer their acidity and flavor to the bottle, and help with the dryness associated with quality in this type of wine. The Pinot Noir, on the other hand, gives strength to the wine, and gives Champagne its distinctive 'length' of character.

Region: Trentino/Alto Adige

As the name suggests, the northern Italian wine region of Trentino-Alto Adige is made up of two separate areas, with Trento in the south, and the Adige river in the north. There are few parts of Italy quite as alluring for wine fans as Trentino-Alto Adige, as this is an area in which Italian wines become really quite unique and surprising. As the region is nestled in the foothills of the Italian Alps, it is quite a long way from the sun drenched islands of the south, or the rolling hillsides of central Italy. Indeed, the wines of Trentino-Alto Adige are packed full of fresh, vibrant alpine flavors and aromas, and are as influenced by the Germanic styles of wine making as they are influenced by those of the Italians, making the wines of this region really quite unusual, and utterly captivating. Wineries in Trentino-Alto Adige use both native and imported grape varietals for their wines, and they are generally considered to be amongst the finest in Italy.

Country: Italy

For several decades in the mid to late twentieth century, Italy's reputation for quality wines took a fairly serious blow. This was brought about partly due to lack of regulation in certain regions, and too much regulation in others. This led to several wineries in the beautiful and highly fertile region of Tuscany making the bold move to work outside of the law, which they saw as responsible for the drop in quality in Tuscan wines. They believed that they had the expertise and the generations of experience necessary with which to make truly excellent, world class wines, and set about doing just that. These 'Super Tuscans', as they came to be known, quickly inspired the rest of Italy to improve their produce, and now, Italian wine producers in the twenty-first century are widely recognised to be amongst the best in the world. Regulation and law began to change, and wine drinkers across the globe woke up to the outstanding wines coming out of Italy, which are continuing to improve and impress to this day.
