Delivers enticing overtones of orange blossoms and jasmine that are subtle and sweet, transitioning to flavors of lemon gelee, creamed almond, poached quince and heather on the palate. Reveals a pleasing fleshiness to the texture, yet this is a well-defined white, thanks to firm, integrated acidity. Lasting, mineral-laced finish. Many grape varietals are now grown in the region, however, Chenin Blanc remains the country's flagship varietal, with over eighteen percent of vineyards in the country used for this particular grape, closely followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Colombard.
