Hav, Swedish for the sea, is part of High Coast'sexceptional Origins series, and its flavor shorthand is oak spice. Wood spices, peatsmoke, vanilla cream, and orange peel on the nose precede a lush palate of fruit and spicedisplaying sweet apricot, peach, honey, and dried tropical fruits, with a lengthy, spicyfinish. Matured in bourbon casks, it mingles batches of peated and unpeated spirit, withsome components receiving an accelerator period in 40-liter casks coopered fromHungarian and Swedish oak. - Winter 2021

Hav is the Swedish word for Sea. In the majestic landscape of a world heritage site, High Coast Distillery sits where the beautiful river Ångermanälven merges into the sea. Here, the river is just about to reach the coast and slowly disappear out into the world, just like our single malt whisky. The message Hav brings to the world is an expression of oak, with a touch of spice and a little northern hardiness.
