Aromas of dried pineapple, peach and green apple follow through to a full body with tangy fruit and phenolic tension, with candied lemon and floral undertones. Ginger. A denser and richer sauvignon on the center palate and goes long at the finish. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is a very pretty and distinctive wine. Citrus peel, mint, white flowers, sage and tomato leaf lend quite a bit of character. The 2021 was aged in a combination of steel, new oak, neutral oak and concrete eggs.

Complex, highly detailed and aromatic, but also shows a sense of elegance and poise. Offers lanolin, beeswax and lemon curd notes that mingle with dried mango, apricot and spices. Reveals lime zest, passionfruit and white pepper accents that linger on the long, expressive finish, with a fresh thread of acidity. Drink now. 3,277 cases made.

Always beautiful, the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is another great vintage for this white. Medium-bodied and racy, yet also ripe, it has a great perfume of grapefruit and white flowers, with a kiss of background minerality. It’s impeccably made, and while I like this in its youth, it ages nicely for upwards of a decade if you’re so inclined.

Fresh and juicy, with great complexity. A powerful wine that's layered and textured with citrus and stone fruits filling the palate. Fresh pear and white peach mingle with passion fruit and lemon meringue. The mouthwatering vivacious acidity and complex subtle vanilla and creaminess gives great length to this impressive wine.

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc

One of the most commonly planted and cultivated white wine grape varietals in the world is the Sauvignon Blanc. This green skinned grape originated in southern France, where it is still grown today and produced into exceptionally high quality wines. However, it is also very much a varietal of the New World, and can be found almost anywhere with the correct climatic conditions for it to thrive in. Generally, Sauvignon Blanc grapes prefer cooler climates, and benefit best from an early harvest. Too much exposure to heat causes the juices inside the fruit to lose much of their character, and results in flat, uninteresting wines devoid of the grapes' usual bite and crispiness. In many countries, Sauvignon Blanc grape juices are aged in barrels, and are allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation, which transforms this dry and refreshing, zesty and fruity white wine into something far mellower, more buttery and refined.
